August 4. If I had to pick the single most important person in American music, the giant among giants: Louis Armstrong. He always claimed July 4, 1900 as his birth date, but babtismal records found after his death indicate that he was born in New Orleans on August 4th, 1901. As far as I'm concerned, this first African-American to "cross-over" to mass popularity can claim any day he wants!

Hoy estaremos en el Blues and Brews Festival de Springfield, donde estará Johnny tomando nota y retransmitiendo.
Have a good day!
